Britney Spears Holds Emergency Meeting With Federline

Britney Spears has held an emergency meeting with her ex-husband Kevin Federline in a bid to resolve custody issues over their children, according to reports. The Toxic singer organised the meeting with Federline and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan on Wednesday (12Sep07) - their son Jayden's first birthday. They arrived separately at the Century City, Los Angeles, offices of Spears's lawyer Laura Wasser, just five days before they are due to face each other before a family court judge on Monday (16Sep07). However, the meeting didn't go as planned - Federline turned down the star's proposals. A source says, "Britney asked for (the meeting) She wants to put an end to this public debacle. "However, Kevin (has) refused. He needs more money so he's determined to win this." But a source close to Federline tells People.com, "He's not going for additional child support in the court papers that were filed. It's not about the money." Federline currently receives ,000 a month from Spears's 7,868 income, but has "no net income after business expenses", according to court documents released on 30 August (07).
